We are off.

Well ,now we have started, I have  a feeling of slight euphoria which I know will be felt by other members of the club, so much to achieve thou not impossible, the launch date of 16/7/16 is not a unrealistic target and should be met and of course we will miss the World Championships in Northern Ireland,  I am sure some of us  will make a trip to spectate and enjoy the warmness of the community.

Curry & Quiz

What a great turnout for our first fund raiser, great thanks to Amble and Alnmouth skiffies for there support, thanks also to all who attended to support  the coastal rowing  ethos, may it long reign.

Also thanks to “The Jolly  Fisherman” for the catering and last of all thanks to my long suffering  partner Diane for her forbearance.

Revelation.

We now have a club, a fantastic turnout, a constitution and a good group of founder members.
I cannot thank Amble and Alnmouth Rowing clubs enough for their input, advice, moral support and bon ami.
Cheers all.

There is a hint of a Rowing Gig at Craster in July for the RNLI  harbour day ,watch this space.

Jolly Fisherman Craster

The visit to Craster by “Amble, Alnmouth, Blyth, Gateshead and Whitburn Coastal Rowing Clubs” demonstrating their “Skiffs” produced a great deal of interest and enthusiasm from the local community to move forward to develop a rowing club of our own for Craster.

Anyone who is interested in joining this venture being the

“Craster Coastal Rowing Club” to enjoy rowing, for pleasure,

exercise , social and competitive events or just for fun are all

invited to attend the above Inaugural Meeting.

Membership is to be open to anyone over 18 years of age.

A family membership will be available to enable younger children to participate under supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

We are about to start a venture to raise funds to buy or build a rowing skiff for our local community, I am busy trawling the net to find like minded people with whom we could borrow ideas off.

So it all starts here today, wish us luck.
